The Alpspitzbahn takes you to the striking rock massif of the Alpspitze in around nine minutes.
Directly on the Osterfeldkopf is a summit adventure trail and the Alpspix, a newly built viewing platform with glass fronts and a view 1000 metres down.
Different mountain and hiking tours start from the summit station.

From Mittenwald, Krün and Wallgau, it is best to take the RVO bus to Garmisch-Partenkirchen station and continue by local bus to the Alpspitzbahn.
