Auhütte is situated at 857 metres and is one of the most popular excursion restaurants in Alpenwelt Karwendel for families with children. As Auhütte is also used for grazing, it is open both in early summer and late autumn. In addition to fresh beverages, traditional snacks are also served. In particular, the perfectly maintained trails along the Isar river to the idyllic Auhütte, make the popular hut accessible to families with children and to senior citizens.

From the hiking car park at the Isar bridge in Krün, you can reach Auhütte in about 45 minutes by taking the flat, well-maintained hiking trail. From the Isar bridge in Wallgau, hikers can get to the excursion restaurant on Isarsteg in only 15 minutes. You also have the option of hiking along a loop trail via Auhütte from Krün to Wallgau.
