Bike tour to Wallgauer Alm and Finzalm alpine huts near Krün

Tour description

From the parking lot on Krottenkopfstraße, follow Krottenkopfstraße to the right and straight on through the meadows. At the fork, go right toward Finzalm, and straight through the intersection toward the Wallgauer Alm alpine hut. The route leads continually upward, strenuous at times. At the Wildbädermoos junction, ride to the right and you will arrive at the Wallgauer Alm alpine hut following some more steep sections. On the return trip, you will ride to approx. 1,100 m and follow the forest trail to the right, past the wooden bench, to the Finzalm, following the signs along the way. Past the alpine hut, the route follows a singletrack along the Finzbach river. You will cross over the gravel riverbed of the Angerlgraben and then ride left over a bridge. The route follows the forest road up; you will pass the Bauerngraben river and then enjoy the long descent back to Krün.
