Start: Wallgau Town Hall - Destination: Wallgau Town Hall
This tour makes children's eyes and ears grow bigger. The "Fairytale Trail" in Wallgau invites children to listen and play at the many stations with reading boards about fairytales, legends and stories. Fun for the whole family and on the way to the bear cave and the little waterfall you can hear the children asking: Are there really bears in the bear cave?
The day starts at the Town Hall in Wallgau, accessible via the bus stop of the same name, which is wonderfully accessible with the bus line 9608 & 9618 or with the Alpenwelt Karwendel guest and hiking bus. If you arrive by car, you can park either at the "Wallgau Zentrum" hikers' car park in Soiernstraße or at the "Haus des Gastes" car park. From the town hall, take the second right into Wettersteinstraße and over the bridge into Zugspitzstraße to the Haus des Gastes. Pass the tennis court and turn left into Barmseestraße until you reach the Finzbrücke bridge. Before the bridge, keep to the right, following the signs to the Witter and the nature highlight - the bear caves at the small waterfall. Go back down the same way and walk on a small path along the fence to the end of the Witter, cross a small bridge and keep left on the path down to the dried-up Finzbach, cross this and then turn left into the Fairytale Path. At various stations, fairy tales are explained here in a vivid and playful way. There are boards to read aloud and play stations such as a wishing well, the little caterpillar "Nimmersatt", bouncing games, a marble game and much more to try out yourself. On the way back, you can make a detour to the nature playground, where children can let off steam to their heart's content, before returning to the starting point at the Haus des Gastes (refreshment stop) and continuing on to the town hall.
; Attention: The path to the bear cave is not suitable for prams.
