Haus Heimatliebe is located in a quiet, central location at the foot of the Karwendel. In 5-10 minutes you can reach the train station and the pedestrian zone in the town center.
The picturesque town of Mittenwald is surrounded by the mountains Karwendel, Wetterstein and Hoher Kranzberg. Countless hiking trails start right on the outskirts, many of which are snow cleared in winter.
read moreWith the family-friendly Kranzberg chairlift you can reach the Kranzberg summit or the barefoot hiking trail. If you feel like an adventure, the mountain carts offer a rapid descent. In summer the lakes Lautersee and Ferchensee invite you to swim. You can reach the lakes on wonderful hiking trails or easily with the hiking and guest bus.
The cable car Karwendel Bahn offers a wonderful view of the Isar Valley and the Mountains of the Karwendel at 2,244 meters above sea level.
