Hike from Krün to the Auhütte

Tour description

The starting point of the hikeis the town centre of Krün, accessible via the bus stop of the same name.At the maypole, you walk along Schöttlkarspitzstraße to the town hall, then down the mountain towards the Isar to the "Im Gries" hikers' car park. From there, you cross the Isar bridge, then turn left and follow the forest road towards Auhütte until you reach it after about an hour at the height of Wallgau. This offers an idyllic sunny

rest stop. On the way back, you can take the path from the terrace down into the Isar meadows to the Isar footbridge near Wallgau. Here you can cross the Isar to walk back to Krün on the opposite bank.
Danger notice: In the event of heavy rainfall in the past, the Finz River may not be crossable. In this case, you can use the Finz bridge at the entrance to the town or the other bank of the Isar River.
