Hike from Krün via Aschau to Mittenwald

Tour description

From Krün town centre, accessible via the bus stop of the same name, turn into Schöttlkarspitzstraße and walk past the town hall, further down the hill towards the Isar (if you arrive by car, there is a hikers' car park "Im Gries"). Then follow the path over the Isar bridge to the right through the sparse forest (bird sanctuary) towards the Isarstausee. Here you can enjoy the gorgeous view of the Karwendelgebirge,while numerous activity stations and displays encourage children to play and explore . When you reach the clearing, keep left and follow the signs to Mittenwald into the forest again. At the level of the Seinsbach , keep to the right and follow the signs toAschauer Alm (not managed)until you reach the Aschauer Kapelle after an ascent. Here you can take a shortrest. Afterwards, the trail first goes downhill and then straight through the forest until you reach Mittenwald.
