Tour description

This scenic, very attractive hike leads you through green alpine meadows and vibrant mountain forests to the Wildensee alpine tavern, at 1,136 meters. The starting point of this hike is the parking lot at the base station of the Luttensee lifts. A short distance on the road soon takes you to the hiking trail, which leads you to the crystalline Wildensee lake in about 1.5 hours. The Wildensee tavern, rich in tradition, sits directly above the mountain lake. With a dreamlike sun terrace and an excellent home-style kitchen, the alpine tavern is an inviting place to dwell. From here, you can also enjoy the marvelous mountain panorama, which extends from the Wetterstein to the Karwendel to the Ester ranges.
