The hike to Dammkarhütte lodge begins at the base station of the Karwendel cable car, where you will first cross Alpenkorpsstraße and arrive at the entrance to the tour via a steel staircase. The hiking route first leads you through a flat, forested region before climbing steeply for a short while on the so-called "Bremsstallboden." At the end of the short climb, hikers continue to follow the forest road, which leads to the "Bankerl," at about 1,300 meters.
