Soiernhaus is located at 1,616 metres overlooking Soiernkessel and, if there is sufficient visibility, a view of the famous Benediktenwand. It was originally the hunting lodge of King Ludwig II. There used to be a pavilion on Schöttlkarspitze, which the extravagant Regent had built for taking his tea.
At Soiernhaus you can enjoy magnificent panoramic views - as King Ludwig II once did – as well as regional specialities, hearty snacks and refreshing drinks. Soierhaus is also a popular starting point for alpine summit tours in Alpenwelt Karwendel.
From Krün you can reach Soiernhaus via Fischbachalm in approx. 4 hours. From the inn, you can descend via Lakaiensteig, which is secured with wire rope (surefootedness required), turn right toward Soiernhaus or choose the significantly more comfortable forest trail on the left to Soiernhaus.
