Start: valley-station Karwendelbahn - Destination: mountain-station Karwendelbahn (2.244 m)
This "little brother" of the famous Mittenwald via ferrata, which leads from the mountain station of the Karwendel cable car, at 2,244 meters, over seven 2,000 meter-high peaks to the Brunnsteinspitze and the alpine hut of the same name, certainly offers at least as many unique alpine impressions, high over the towns of the Alpenwelt Karwendel region – Mittenwald, Krün and Wallgau.
The Karwendel via ferrata begins at the "Pasamani" viewpoint at about 2,285 meters. The via ferrata is somewhat shorter than the Mittenwald via ferrata, but significantly more challenging. Steep, towering rock walls, aerial crossings and the exposed terrain are only for experienced via ferrata climbers. As a result, the corresponding equipment, such as a climbing harness, helmet and via ferrata set, is absolutely required. This fascinating via ferrata traverses the "Mittler" and leads to the summit of the western Karwendel peak, at 2,385 meters.
