On the Laintal-Lautersee loop, hikers, joggers and trail runners will experience the idyllic Laintal valley, with a large waterfall, and the immaculately maintained hiking trails around Lautersee lake, on an interesting round-trip against the unique backdrop of the Wetterstein mountains. The starting point for the recommended Laintal-Lautersee loop is on Laintalstraße, near the historic town center of Mittenwald, and begins with a slight rise into the Laintal valley. The comfortable hiking trail leads to the right of the Laintal waterfall up to the top and on to Lautersee lake. You will pass the notable "Maria Königin" chapel, where festive worship services regularly take place. The loop around the lake leads you around Lautersee lake and then back through the Laintal valley to the starting point in Mittenwald.
