The "Little Lakes Tour" in the Alpenwelt Karwendel region is an easy but still highly recommended bike tour which leads to Barmsee lake, Tennsee lake and to the nearby swimming park at Grubsee lake. The perfect bicycle tour for the whole family, with lots of options for swimming amidst the marvelous nature of the Alpenwelt Karwendel region...
The starting point for the Little Lakes Tour is the parking lot on Krottenkopfstraße in Krün. Follow this to the swimming shore of Barmsee lake. Shortly before the lake, turn left onto the bicycle path toward Krün. Then turn right again toward the Barmsee district, and there to the left, continuing toward Tennsee lake. Passing the campground on the right, continue straight on to the railway line. Here, turn left at "Krün über Buckelwiesen" (to Krün through the "hummock meadows") and ride up the steadily climbing road. After the sustained ascent, stay to the left toward Krün and return to the parking lot via Hochstraße/Finzbachstraße.
