Winter hike around the Isar reservoir near Krün

Tour description

From the hiking parking lot in Grieß, in Krün, follow the trail over the Isar bridge, to the right through the sparse woodland toward the Isar reservoir. With a marvelous view of the Karwendel mountains, you will pass numerous activity stations and info panels which encourage children to play and learn. Upon reaching the clearing, a wooden float invites you to take a rest, before following the trail along the reservoir, where you can see swans and waterfowl. After a short climb (approx. 20 meters), keep to the right at the entrance to town, along the Isar river back to the starting point. This route is stroller-compatible.
