Tour description

Your winter hike to the Maxhütte alpine hut begins in Wallgau on Risserstraße , the road to Vorderriß. From there, turn left to the trail marked with the number 314 and follow it to the Maxhütte alpine hut. It continues a short distance back, and then to the right on trail 317 to B11 and on the other side of the road back to Wallgau. Another option for reaching the Maxhütte alpine hut is via the Magdalena Neuner Panorama Trail, a tour which affords you a gorgeous view of the beautiful valley before you even reach the Maxhütte.

Those who do not wish to hike back along the Magdalena Neuner Panorama Trail can also hike down to Wallgau directly via the road (route of ascent).
