Winter hiking on the Karwendel Panorama Trail

Tour description

The starting point of the tour is the Mittenwald train station square. This can be reached by public transport. Follow the hiking signs in the direction of the Karwendelbahn and reach the valley station in about 15 minutes on foot. The Karwendel cable car takes you to the top station at 2,244 metres. Once at the top, you walk along the cleared panoramic path to Passamani.
As the path cannot be walked as a circular route in winter, you walk the same way back to the mountain station, where you can then view an interesting exhibition about the flora and fauna of the Karwendel mountains in the nature information centre before returning to the valley.
