The unique landscape of the Buckelwiesen meadows is particularly fascinating in autumn, with a final display of colors and impressions before winter sets in. The origin and use of this cultural landscape, as well as its transformation throughout the seasons, are part of this uniqueness. Of the well over 200 plant species found here, the autumn crocus (Colchicum autumnale) blooms only late in the year, marking the end of the season.
A circular hike through the Buckelwiesen meadows explains the origin and use of this unique habitat.
