Ski paradise on the Kranzberg

The small, cozy Kranzberg family paradise ski area in Mittenwald offers ideal conditions for families and ski and snowboard beginners in particular to quickly learn the right technique. Varied, perfectly groomed pistes stretch across the Hoher Kranzberg. In the “Luttensee” area, beginners can practise their first turns. In the higher section at the Korbinianlift and Sonnenhanglift, advanced skiers and snowboarders will find more challenging slopes.

All-round service

The best way to recharge your batteries is to stop off at one of the excursion restaurants on the Kranzberg. The Korbinianhütte is located directly on the piste at the transition from the Korbinian lift to the Sonnenhang lift. This winter, weather permitting, three longer T-bar lifts are open at the Kranzberg family paradise in Mittenwald. There are practice lifts and a “magic carpet” in “Bruno's Kinderskipark” for little winter sports enthusiasts' first attempts. You will find the Erste Skischule Mittenwald and the Alpenwelt Karwendel ski school in the area of the valley station and at the parking lots in the ski area. In addition to an extensive range of courses, there is also a ski rental service here. The Alpenwelt Karwendel ski bus takes all skiers from Wallgau, Krün and Mittenwald directly to the ski lift, free of charge with the guest card.

Ski resorts in the vicinity

Larger ski resorts such as Garmisch-Classic or the Zugspitze are only around 20 kilometers away from Mittenwald, Krün and Wallgau. There are also the Rosshütte and Gschwandkopf ski areas in neighboring Seefeld in Tirol.
